Duba-B8 is known for their focus on high quality design, therefore the new chair fits perfectly into the company’s furniture collection.
Duba-B8 is Denmark’s leading office furniture manufacturer. Recently, the company has focused on the design of office furniture and in this context they are working together with a number of well-known designers – the latest being Kasper Salto. Duba-B8 focuses on designing office environments in all kinds of workspaces and can supply a full service from advice through to the finished product when it comes to furnishing an office environment.
Made for choice
The pivotal point for Duba-B8’s latest design collaboration is Kasper Salto and the re-launching of his exclusive “Runner” chair. With the recent acquisition of the rights to the chair, Duba-B8 has come up trumps, because Runner fits perfectly into the existing offering and can be combined with many of Duba-B8’s office tables. In order to match the current trends, and in line with Kasper Salto’s own wishes, Runner has been redesigned and the result is an excellent facelift and a stylish expression. As part of the redesign the chair is produced in two currently popular colours, black and white.
Kasper Salto explains “the black and white colours create a contrast and underlines the shapes of the chair as one can see the wood on the inside and the black and white colour on the outside”.
Kasper Salto about ergonomics
Back in 1997, with a wish to create a multifunction chair, Kasper Salto created Runner within only 3 months at The National Workshops for Arts and Crafts.
“I wanted to create a chair that could be used by many people and for many different purposes but at the same time its starting point was about sitting comfortably”, explains Salto, he continues:
“Good ergonomics is, in my opinion, about having the opportunity to change the settings on your chair, yet have continual support. That is why one can both change position from the right to the left side and from an upright position to a more laidback position, which is nice, for example, after you have just eaten and you want to relax” says Salto.
